The Handy 2 Pro Review: Handy 2 vs Handy 2 Pro vs Handy 1 Compared

This Handy 2 Pro review covers everything you need before buying Ohdoki’s flagship stroker: how the Handy 2 Pro compares to the $299 Standard model and the original Handy, what it costs, how to set it up for VR, and how to fix it when it won’t connect or charge.

I’ve used the original Handy for VR for a long time, and I’ve spent several weeks with the Handy 2 Pro synced to SexLikeReal, HereSphere and Handyverse. My verdict: it’s the strongest, quietest and most capable interactive stroker you can buy without building one yourself, but at $499 it’s also expensive, and the hands-free mounting still needs work.

Quick Summary: The Handy 2 Pro is the best interactive stroker for VR if you can afford $499: about 5 hours of battery, a 125 mm stroke, much quieter running and support for 60+ sites and every major VR player.

On a budget, the $299 Handy 2 Standard has the same stroke, sleeves and software with about 1 hour of battery. The original Handy is $169 but needs a wall plug.

The Handy 2 Pro Review: Quick Verdict (Is the Handy 2 Pro Worth It?)

Yes, if you use interactive VR content regularly. The Handy 2 Pro fixes the three things that held the original Handy back: it runs on a battery instead of a wall plug, it’s far quieter, and it’s strong and fast enough to keep up with demanding scripts that made the first Handy stutter. The 125 mm stroke is also 15 mm longer than before.

It’s not for everyone. At $499 it costs $200 more than the Standard Handy 2, and the Standard has the same stroke length, sleeves, software and sync. The real differences are battery (about 5 hours vs about 1 hour), top speed and a faster motor. If your sessions are short and you always sit near a charger, the Standard is the better value.

the handy 2 vs handy 1 comparison guide
  • Price: $499 (Handy 2 Standard: $299, original Handy: $169)
  • Best for: VR and script users who want the most capable plug-and-play stroker
  • Skip it if: you mostly want something quiet for short sessions, or you’d rather build a multi-axis OSR2 or SR6

Handy 2 Pro Review: Pros and Cons

Handy 2 Pro Pros

  • About 5 hours of battery from the 3,200 mAh cell, so no cable across your lap
  • Noticeably quieter than the original Handy
  • 125 mm stroke and up to 450 mm/s (800 mm/s overclocked) keep up with fast scripts
  • ClickOn system makes swapping and cleaning sleeves much easier
  • Works with 60+ partner sites, HereSphere, DeoVR, Handyverse and thousands of community scripts
  • Dot matrix display shows speed, stroke length and battery at a glance

Handy 2 Pro Cons

  • $499 is a lot when the $299 Standard shares the same stroke and software
  • The included strap and mounting points feel underbuilt for how strong the motor is
  • At 810 g, it gets heavy to hold by hand
  • Overclocking voids the warranty
  • Early 2026 batches had charging and quality-control problems (fixed in current stock, per Ohdoki)

What Is the Handy 2 Pro? The Handy Auto Stroker Explained

The Handy 2 Pro is an automatic stroker made by Ohdoki, a company based in Oslo, Norway. A motorized slider moves a sleeve up and down, and the device follows “scripts”: small files that tell it where to move and when, timed to a video, a VR scene, a game or a live cam show. When there’s no script, you can run it manually with the buttons or an app.

The Handy 2 replaced the original Handy (now often called the Handy 1) after a Kickstarter campaign that shipped about 20,000 items to more than 5,000 backers by early 2026. It comes in two versions, the Handy 2 Standard and the Handy 2 Pro. Both use the same body, stroke length and software. The Pro adds a bigger battery, a faster motor, premium bearings and an overclock mode.

What makes it more than a generic auto stroker is the platform behind it. Ohdoki publishes an open API, so hundreds of sites and apps support it, and a community of 30,000+ people on EroScripts and Discord write scripts for it.

The numbers that matter most in practice are stroke length and speed. The Handy 2 Pro stroke length is 125 mm, up from 110 mm on the original Handy, which helps longer sleeves and full-length scripts feel less cramped. You can adjust stroke length on the fly with the up and down buttons, or narrow the stroke zone in the app.

The Handy 2 Pro max speed is 450 mm/s at stock settings, against 400 mm/s on the Standard. That gap sounds small, but it shows up in fast, short strokes, where the Standard sometimes runs out of headroom on aggressive scripts. Overclocking raises the Pro’s ceiling to 800 mm/s.

Weight is the spec people forget. The Handy 2 Pro weighs 810 g (about 1.8 lb), more than the 700 g original. That’s fine on a mount but tiring to hold for a full session, which is why so many owners end up building a hands-free setup.

The Handy 2 Review: Handy 2 vs Handy 2 Pro (Standard or Pro?)

If you’re deciding between the two, the Handy 2 Standard and Pro are the same device in the ways most people notice day to day: same 125 mm stroke, same sleeves, same ClickOn system, same app, same sync with every partner site. The $200 difference buys battery, speed and hardware quality.

The Handy 2 Standard vs Pro: Battery Life (1 Hour vs 5 Hours)

This is the biggest real difference. The Standard has a 2,000 mAh battery rated for about 1 hour, and the Pro has a 3,200 mAh battery rated for about 5 hours. In my use, the Pro’s rating holds up: I charged it roughly once a week.

An hour sounds like enough until you add setup time, a couple of scenes and a script that runs at high speed. With the Standard, you’ll likely end up plugged in more often than not, which brings back the cable the Handy 2 was supposed to remove.

Handy 2 Pro vs Standard: Speed, Motor and Bearings

The Pro uses a 20,000 rpm motor against 13,300 rpm on the Standard, plus premium bearings. That’s where the extra 50 mm/s of top speed comes from, and it’s why only the Pro can be overclocked. The Pro also comes in a darker “stealth black” silicone finish.

My recommendation: if you’re buying your first Handy and can afford it, get the Pro, because the battery alone justifies most of the difference. If budget matters, get the Standard and put the savings toward a desk mount and a second sleeve, since sleeves change the feel more than the device tier does.

Handy 1 vs Handy 2: What Changed, and Is the Handy 1 Worth It?

The Handy 1 vs Handy 2 jump is a much bigger upgrade than Standard vs Pro. The original Handy was a mains-powered device with a 110 mm stroke and a loud motor. The Handy 2 is battery-powered, quieter, longer-stroking and much easier to clean thanks to ClickOn.

The Handy 1 needs its AC adapter plugged in at all times, while the Handy 2 runs on a battery and charges over USB-C. The stroke grows from 110 mm to 125 mm, and the Handy 2 is clearly quieter at the same speed. The Handy 1’s adjustable grip fits most sleeves, and the Handy 2 keeps that compatibility but adds the ClickOn holder and a dot matrix display for speed, stroke and battery. On the software side, the Handy 2 runs Firmware 4 only, while the Handy 1 can run Firmware 3 or 4.

the handy 1 review

The Handy 1 vs Handy 2 Specs: The Handy 1 Stroke Length, Max Speed and Weight

The Handy 1 stroke length is 0 to 110 mm, and its max speed is listed as 10 to 600 strokes per minute (Ohdoki rates the Handy 2 in mm/s instead, so the two aren’t directly comparable). The Handy 1 weighs 700 g, measures 23 cm long and 70 mm in diameter, and is rated at 60 dB at maximum. It connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 and uses a brushless motor.

In practice, the 15 mm shorter stroke is what you notice first with longer sleeves, and the 60 dB ceiling is why the Handy 1 is harder to use in a shared home at high speed. Being 110 g lighter makes it a little easier to hold, but since it needs a wall plug, most Handy 1 owners end up using it on a mount anyway.

The Handy 1 vs 1.1: What’s the Difference?

Owners use “Handy 1.1” for later production units of the original Handy. Ohdoki doesn’t sell or spec the 1.1 as a separate model: its store lists one original Handy with one set of specs (110 mm stroke, mains power, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). If you’re buying a used Handy 1, the firmware version matters more than the revision. Make sure it can run Firmware 4 so it works with current apps and Handyverse.

Handy 1 vs Handy 2 Pro: Should You Upgrade?

If your Handy 1 works and you only use it plugged in at a desk, you don’t need to rush. If noise bothers you, you want to use it away from a wall socket, or fast scripts make it stutter, the Handy 2 Pro is a big step up in all three. Your existing scripts, partner site accounts and most of your sleeves carry over.

Is the Handy 1 Worth It Now That It’s Retired?

Ohdoki ran its final production batch of the Handy 1 in mid-2026, and it’s now listed at $169. At that price it’s still the cheapest way into the Handy ecosystem, and it syncs with the same sites and scripts. The trade-offs are the wall plug, the noise and the shorter stroke. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s worth it. If you can stretch to $299, the Handy 2 Standard is the better long-term buy.

The Handy 2 Pro Price: Where to Buy the Handy 2 (and Discount Codes)

The best place to buy is the official Handy store, which sells all three models, every sleeve and the full accessory range, and handles warranty claims directly.

How Much Is the Handy 2 Pro?

The Handy 2 Pro costs $499. The Handy 2 Standard costs $299, and the original Handy costs $169. Ohdoki also sells bundles that pair the device with sleeves and a hands-free kit, and these are usually cheaper than buying the parts separately. Prices change during sales, so check the store before you order.

The Handy 2 Pro Discount Code, Coupon Code and Promo Code

Ohdoki offers 10% off your first order if you sign up for its newsletter, and it runs regular store-wide sales on sleeves, accessories and bundles. Those are the most reliable discounts.

Be careful with “Handy 2 Pro discount code” sites. Many list codes that expired long ago or never worked. The only codes worth trying are ones shown on the official store itself or in Ohdoki’s own emails. We also keep a page of current VR porn promo codes for the subscription side of your setup.

The Handy Black Friday Sale

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are historically when the Handy is cheapest, and bundles usually get the deepest cuts. If you’re not in a hurry, it’s worth waiting. Our Black Friday VR porn deals page covers the subscription sites that tend to run sales at the same time.

Handy 2 Pro Amazon, eBay and For-Sale Listings: Where to Buy Safely

The Handy is sold on Amazon US and Amazon Canada through official channels, and the Handy 2 Pro has an Amazon listing. If you buy there, check that the seller is the official brand store so your warranty is honored.

Used units on eBay and other for-sale listings can be a good deal, especially Handy 1s, but check three things first: whether overclocking was enabled (it voids the warranty), the battery health shown in the Onboarding app, and that the seller can show proof of purchase. Ohdoki’s warranty runs one year from the original purchase date.

Does the Handy Ship Discreetly? Shipping, Delivery Time and Returns

Yes. Every order ships in plain, unmarked packaging with no branding or product description. Ohdoki’s help center says your card statement will show “Handy” and “SweetTech,” the company behind it, rather than a product name.

  • Delivery time: regular shipping takes 4 to 7 working days and express takes 2 to 4, with a tracking number once it leaves the warehouse.
  • P.O. boxes: only in the US and Canada. Elsewhere, use a courier pickup point.
  • Cancellations: you can request a cancellation within 2 hours of ordering.
  • Returns: only unopened devices within 14 days, with a $30 return fee. Sleeves and accessories can’t be returned.

The Handy 2 Pro UK, Australia, Canada and India Shipping

The official store ships worldwide, including the UK, Australia, Canada and India, and shows local pricing for many countries. Customs paperwork may be attached to the outside of the package depending on where you live, but it’s kept as discreet as possible. In some regions, including parts of the EU and Norway, the Handy is also sold through physical stores and authorized retailers.

How to Use the Handy 2 Pro: Setup Guide

Getting from unboxing to your first synced video took me about five minutes, most of it waiting for a firmware update.

How to Set Up the Handy 2 (Onboarding App)

  1. Charge the Handy 2 with a USB-C Power Delivery charger.
  2. Install the free Handy Onboarding App (iOS 15+ or Android 10+).
  3. Open the app, choose the Handy, and follow the on-screen steps to put the device in Bluetooth mode.
  4. Tap Search for Devices, then Connect when your Handy appears.
  5. Accept the terms and choose your data-sharing settings.
  6. Connect it to your Wi-Fi network and let the app run its network test.
  7. Install the firmware update when prompted.

After that, the app’s main screen shows your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth status and your connection key. You can also set the boot mode under Advanced > Boot mode so the Handy goes online automatically every time you turn it on.

How to Connect the Handy to Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz)

The Handy can only connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one network name, the Handy may fail to join. That’s what happened on my mesh network, and splitting the bands into two network names in the router settings fixed it immediately.

To change networks later, open the Onboarding App menu, choose Wifi, then Change WiFi. Hotel and office networks with login pages won’t work. Use a phone hotspot instead.

How to Get the Handy Connection Key

Your connection key is the code that lets websites and apps control your Handy. Find it in the center of the Onboarding App’s main screen, below the picture of your device. Lowercase letters look normal, uppercase letters are bold, and numbers are red, which helps you avoid typing an “l” for an “I.” You can also get the key on handyverse.com through the Connect Device button.

Anyone with your key can control your device, so don’t post it publicly. You can change it at any time in the app.

How to Put the Handy in Bluetooth Mode (Legacy Bluetooth)

On the Handy 2, press and hold the Action button after it boots to switch between Wi-Fi + Bluetooth mode and Bluetooth-only mode. A blinking blue light means it’s ready to pair, and a steady blue light means it’s paired.

Some older apps need Legacy Bluetooth mode, which uses the pre-Firmware 4 Bluetooth protocol. To enter it, hold the Up button, then long-press the Action button while still holding Up. The light turns cyan when it works.

How to Connect the Handy to Intiface and PC

Intiface Central (the hub app behind Buttplug.io) can control the Handy over Bluetooth from a PC. On a Handy 2, switch to Legacy Bluetooth mode first (cyan light), then start scanning in Intiface. This is how many PC games and local players drive the Handy without an internet connection.

Ohdoki’s own advice is that online sync over Wi-Fi is more accurate than Bluetooth sync, so for scripted video and VR I’d stick with Wi-Fi and your connection key. Keep Intiface for games and apps that only support Bluetooth.

The Handy 2 Controls, Buttons and LED Lights

  • On button: starts and stops movement.
  • Up and Down: click to change stroke length. Hold Up to shift the stroke zone toward the top, and hold Down to reset it.
  • Left and Right: change speed in the default mode, or switch patterns in pattern mode. Long-press to change playback speed.
  • Action button: switches between connection modes.

The colored light shows the connection state (covered in the troubleshooting section below), and the dot matrix display shows speed, stroke length and battery.

Can the Handy Be Controlled by Someone Else?

Yes. On handyverse.com, connect your device, open Remote Control, and share the link it creates. Whoever has the link can control the speed and stroke from anywhere. You can also link two Ohdoki devices together. The Onboarding App has a remote control too, but it only works locally over Bluetooth.

The Handy 2 Inverted: Upside Down and Left-Handed Use

If you hold it in your left hand or mount it upside down, turn on inverted mode in the Onboarding App under Settings > Advanced > Base Settings. It flips the motion, the buttons and the display together so everything still reads the right way up.

The Handy API and SDK (for Developers)

The Handy has a fully documented public API and a JavaScript SDK, which is why so many sites support it. Developers can find the documentation in Ohdoki’s help center under the Developer section. It’s also what makes the AI companion apps and edging apps that control the Handy possible.

The Handy 2 Manual and User Guide

The Handy 2 quick start guide comes in the box, and the official user manuals (including guides for the ClickOn Long Sleeve Holder, Extender and Maintenance Kit) are in the FAQ and Manuals section of Ohdoki’s help center.

Handy 2 Pro VR: The Handy VR Setup With Meta Quest 3, DeoVR, HereSphere and SLR

The Handy 2 Pro is at its best in VR, where the scene and the device move together. The basic Handy VR setup is the same everywhere: put the Handy online (steady pink light), then enter your connection key in the VR player or site.

How to Connect the Handy to Meta Quest 3 (and Quest 2)

The Handy doesn’t pair with the Quest directly. Instead, it connects to the internet, and your VR player or site sends it the script through your connection key. That means the setup is the same on a Quest 3, Quest 3S or Quest 2:

  1. Turn the Handy on and put it in online mode.
  2. Open a Handy-compatible player or site in the headset (HereSphere, DeoVR or the SexLikeReal site, for example).
  3. Enter your connection key in its haptics or synchronized-device settings.
  4. Play a scene that has a script.

If you’re new to watching on the headset, our guide to watching VR porn on Meta Quest covers the player side.

Handy DeoVR Setup: Using the Handy With DeoVR

In DeoVR, open the SexLikeReal site from the app’s address bar, go to Settings > Haptics, and enter your connection key. You need an SLR subscription to connect the Handy this way. DeoVR can also play local files: put the video and its funscript in the same folder with exactly the same file name.

The Handy HereSphere Setup (HereSphere Handy Scripts)

HereSphere is my favorite player for the Handy because its autofocus makes most scenes look sharper. Enter your connection key in HereSphere’s user settings, then turn on the Synchronized Peripherals toggle above the seek bar. It should say “Connected.”

For HereSphere Handy scripts, put the funscript in the same folder as the video with the same name. If it doesn’t find one there, it checks the “Interactive” folder in your headset’s storage. If you see “Firmware Update Required,” update the Handy first. For more on players, see our best VR players for porn.

Handy Not Connecting to SLR? How to Fix It

When the Handy isn’t connecting to SLR, it’s almost always one of these:

  • The Handy is in Bluetooth mode (blue) instead of online mode (pink).
  • The connection key was typed wrong. Copy it from the app instead of retyping.
  • Your SLR subscription doesn’t include the haptics feature, or you’re not logged in inside DeoVR.
  • The firmware is out of date. Update it in Handyverse.

A quick test is to open handyverse.com on your phone and connect with the same key. If Handyverse connects but SLR doesn’t, the problem is on the SLR side. Our SexLikeReal review covers its plans and script access.

How to Connect the Handy to VaM and VRChat

Virt-a-Mate and VRChat don’t have built-in Handy support. Both rely on community plugins and tools that drive the Handy through its API or through Intiface over Bluetooth. Check the plugin’s own instructions for which connection mode it expects, since many need Legacy Bluetooth on a Handy 2. Our best VR porn games list covers VaM in more detail.

The Handy Video Sync: Compatible Websites, Players and Handyverse

The Handy video sync works the same way on every platform: a script file is paired with a video, and the Handy follows it in real time over Wi-Fi.

How to Sync the Handy With Videos

The simplest option is Handyverse’s video player. Connect your Handy with your key, open the video player, load a video and its script, and press play. There’s a test video and script built in if you want to check that sync is working.

For local files on a PC, community players like ScriptPlayer and Intiface-based players work too, and FapTap is a popular browser option for scripted clips. Most VR players handle this automatically if the script sits next to the video.

The Handy Compatible Websites and Video Partners

The Handy works with 60+ partner websites and more than 400 third-party apps, according to Ohdoki. Partners include SexLikeReal, BaDoinkVR, CzechVR, RealJamVR, VR Bangers, FeelMe and SyncMo, and xHamster added an official integration as well. The current partner list is on handyfeeling.com/partners.

Each site connects differently. Some play the video in your browser and sync live, and others need you to download the video and script. For a breakdown of which VR sites include toy scripts, see our best VR porn sites and our guide to interactive VR porn.

What Is Handyverse? (The Handy Video Player)

Handyverse (handyverse.com) is Ohdoki’s main hub for the Handy, replacing the older handyfeeling.com. It includes the Handy video player, remote control, firmware updates, device linking, and Beatbox, a simple script editor. There’s also a Handyverse app with a script-only mode for playing scripts without a video.

The Handy Scripts: Funscripts, EroScripts and Free Scripts

The Handy scripts tell the device where to move and when. Most come as funscripts, a simple text format with timestamps and positions. You don’t need to understand the format to use them: just keep the script next to the matching video.

Where to Find the Best Handy Scripts (EroScripts, IVDB and Free Scripts)

  • EroScripts: the largest community script forum, with thousands of free and paid scripts for studio and amateur videos. This is where most of the best Handy scripts are.
  • IVDB: Ohdoki’s own Interactive Video Database. The team says the rebuilt version indexes around 16,000 videos across 33 sites.
  • VR sites: many VR studios include scripts with your subscription. SexLikeReal sells scripts separately, while sites like VRPorn.com and CzechVR include them.
  • Reddit and Discord: the r/theHandy and Handy Discord communities share free scripts and recommendations.

The Handy Funscript Player, Script Editor and Script Creator

For playback, the Handy funscript player in Handyverse is the easiest choice. If you want to make your own, Ohdoki offers a free web-based Handy script editor (for non-commercial use), and Beatbox in Handyverse lets you build simple patterns. Serious script creators tend to use OpenFunscripter or the community FunScripter tool.

AI Handy Funscripts: Do Script Generators Work?

AI script generators like FunGen and FunScriptFlow can turn a video into a funscript automatically. They’re good enough for simple, steady scenes and much faster than scripting by hand, but human-made scripts still win on timing and variety. If a scene has no script, an AI script is better than nothing. If a human-made one exists on EroScripts, use that instead. Some platforms also offer AI scripts, which we cover in our HapticsConnect guide.

Games That Work With the Handy (VR and PC)

Games that work with the Handy fall into three groups:

  • Built-in support: some adult VR and browser games include Handy support directly, as do platforms like VRPorn.com’s interactive games and SexLikeReal’s interactive scenes.
  • Intiface games: any game that supports Buttplug.io and Intiface Central can drive the Handy over Bluetooth (use Legacy Bluetooth mode on a Handy 2).
  • Community mods: popular games like Virt-a-Mate and Koikatsu rely on community plugins and mods to sync the Handy.

There are also small web apps built around the Handy, like JOI games and edging apps, which use its API. For game recommendations, see our list of best VR porn games.

How Loud Is the Handy 2 Pro? Noise Level Compared

Not very. Ohdoki rates both Handy 2 models at under 60 dB at maximum, but at normal speeds the Handy 2 Pro is much quieter than that. With a phone decibel meter at arm’s length, I measured it in the low 40s dB at moderate speed, against the low 50s for my original Handy. You can still hear it in a quiet room, and fast scripts or overclocking make it noticeably louder.

Is the Handy 2 Quieter Than the Handy 1?

Yes. The Handy 2’s new motor makes a softer hum, where the Handy 1 sounded more like a desktop 3D printer. The difference is most noticeable at medium speeds, which is where most scripts spend their time.

How to Make the Handy Quieter

  • Lubricate it: grease the lead screw and oil the support rods. Ohdoki sells a Maintenance Kit for $35, or use a high-viscosity 3D printer grease.
  • Mount it on something soft: a desk mount on a solid surface transfers less rattle than a loose setup.
  • Smooth the motor turns: a longer motor turn delay in the advanced slider settings makes direction changes quieter, though this sits in the overclock menu on the Handy 2, and enabling that menu voids your warranty.

The Handy 2 Pro Battery Life and Charging

Handy 2 Pro battery life is about 5 hours from its 3,200 mAh battery, against about 1 hour for the Standard’s 2,000 mAh. The battery percentage shows on the display when you power it off. The device also goes to sleep after 60 minutes of inactivity, which you can change in the app.

How Long Does the Handy 2 Take to Charge? (Charger and Power Supply)

Ohdoki doesn’t publish an official charge time, and the charger you use makes a big difference. The Handy 2 needs at least 9V to charge at a reasonable speed, and Ohdoki recommends a USB-C Power Delivery charger rated at 20V 3.25A (65W). Its own Fast Charger costs $19.

With a 65W laptop-style charger, my Pro went from nearly empty to full in a couple of hours. A basic phone charger barely kept up, and the display showed an “unsupported charger” warning, which means it will charge but slowly.

Is the Handy Wireless, or Does It Have to Be Plugged In?

The Handy 2 and Handy 2 Pro are wireless: they run on their built-in battery and connect over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can also use them while charging. The original Handy is the one that has to be plugged in, since it has no battery.

Handy 2 Pro Overclock: How to Overclock (and Should You?)

The Handy 2 Pro overclock mode lets you push the slider past factory limits, up to 800 mm/s. To turn it on:

  1. Open the Handy Onboarding App and connect your Handy.
  2. Open the menu (three lines), then Advanced > Slider Overclocking.
  3. Read the warning, tick “I understand the risks,” and tap Enable.

You then get preset profiles (Silent, Default, Fast, Turbo and Custom) and detailed settings for slider speed, end buffers, motor turn behavior and temperature limits.

Should you overclock? I didn’t on my review unit, because enabling overclocking voids your warranty, and Ohdoki is explicit about that. At least one Reddit user reported their Pro breaking on first use of overclock with no warranty cover. If your device is still under warranty, the stock 450 mm/s is enough for nearly every script.

Best Handy Sleeves: The Handy 2 Sleeves and Sleeve Accessories

The best Handy sleeves change the experience more than the choice between Standard and Pro does, which is why Ohdoki itself suggests putting money toward sleeves. All official sleeves fit both the Handy 1 and the Handy 2.

Best Sleeves for the Handy: Gen 3, Silk, Lips and Stamina Sleeves

SleevePriceBest for
TrueGrip Gen 3 Sleeve$33 (included)Everyday use, comes in the box
Gen 2 Sleeve$29More stimulation than the Gen 3
Gen 1 Sleeve$15Cheapest spare
Silk Sleeve$59Premium silicone feel, easy to clean
Lips Sleeve$37Oral-style texture
Lotus Sleeve$37Lower intensity, longer sessions
Touch Sleeve$37Hand-style feel
Mod Sleeves (Core, Long, Tight)$39 eachSwappable inner options

Two things decide which of the best sleeves for the Handy suits you: whether it’s open-ended or closed-ended, and how much texture it has. Closed-ended sleeves keep things tidy. Open-ended sleeves are shorter and suit larger sizes. Less texture (like the Lotus) means less intensity, which helps if you want sessions to last.

Do Handy 1 Sleeves Fit the Handy 2? (Handy Gen 1 Sleeve and Handy Sleeve Adapter)

Yes. Ohdoki’s sleeves are compatible with both devices, including the Handy Gen 1 sleeve ($15), which is still sold. The Handy 2 doesn’t require new sleeves; it just adds the ClickOn holder, which makes them faster to attach. A Handy sleeve adapter is only needed for third-party sleeves that don’t fit the standard holder.

The Handy 3rd Party Sleeves and Fleshlight Adapter

The Handy’s adjustable grip fits many third-party sleeves and onaholes, and Ohdoki sells a Long Sleeve Holder ($29) for longer ones. For Fleshlight cases, owners use 3D-printed or third-party Fleshlight adapters. Keep weight in mind: heavy onaholes put more strain on the motor and the strap. If you mostly use heavy sleeves, a multi-axis OSR2 or SR6 handles weight better.

Handy Sleeve Holder, Sleeve Case, Sleeve Dryer and Sleeve Warmer

  • ClickOn Core Sleeve Holder ($19): included in the box, and worth having a spare.
  • Long Sleeve Holder ($29): for longer sleeves.
  • Sleeve Dryer ($15): included with the Pro, and it helps sleeves last longer.
  • Sleeve case or shell: most sleeves come with a shell for storage.
  • Lube Warmer and Dispenser: Ohdoki’s warming option. A separate sleeve warmer isn’t sold, so owners warm sleeves in warm water before use.

How to Clean the Handy Sleeve (and the Handy 2)

To clean the Handy sleeve, wash it right after use with warm water and soap, then let it dry fully (the Pro’s sleeve dryer helps here). Only use water-based lube, because silicone and oil-based lubes break sleeves down. TPE sleeves turn slightly yellow over time, which means they’re due for replacement.

To clean the Handy 2 itself, wipe the body with a damp cloth. It is not waterproof, so never rinse it under a tap. If liquid gets inside, turn it off and leave it slider-down for several hours before using it again.

The Handy 2 Hands-Free Mount: Desk Mount, Belt Mount and Stand

A hands-free mount is the most important accessory after a second sleeve, because the 810 g Handy 2 Pro gets heavy fast. The Handy 2 has two built-in mounting points for exactly this.

The Handy 2 Desk Mount and VESA Mount

Ohdoki’s Desk Mount Kit ($59) clamps to a desk or table and holds the Handy at an adjustable angle, and the Handsfree Bundle adds the Handsfree Cup. This is the setup I use most. My one complaint matches others I’ve seen: the mounting screws feel too light for a motor this strong, so check they’re tight before each session. Some owners use VESA monitor arms with a 3D-printed adapter for more positioning options.

The Handy 2 Belt Mount and Strap (Strap Guide)

The included Dot Band strap and the Pro Band ($19) hold the Handy against your body for lying-down sessions. Ohdoki’s strap guide in the help center shows how to thread it. A few Reddit owners reported early straps with a stuck connector, so check yours on arrival. Several users prefer a 3D-printed belt mount for a firmer fit.

The Handy 2 Extender and Long Sleeve Holder (ClickOn Accessories)

The ClickOn Extender ($25) adds length so longer sleeves don’t bottom out, and the Long Sleeve Holder ($29) supports bigger sleeves. Both click on in seconds, which is one of the nicest changes on the Handy 2.

The Handy 3D Print Mounts and STL Files

If you have a 3D printer, there’s a big library of Handy 3D print designs, including desk stands, bed mounts, chair mounts, sleeve holders and Fleshlight adapters. Search Printables, Thingiverse and Cults3D for Handy STL files, and check whether a design is made for the Handy 1 or the Handy 2, since the mounting points differ.

The Handy Bed Setup and Mounting Ideas

The most common Handy bed setup is lying on your back with the device strapped on or held by a bed-side arm. Popular mounting ideas from the community include a chair-based setup, a clamp-on arm and a pillow wedge. Whatever you use, make sure the device can’t tip, because a slider at full speed will shift a loose setup.

The Handy 2 Troubleshooting: Not Connecting, Not Charging and Firmware Updates

Most problems fall into four groups: connection, charging, firmware and calibration. Start with the light color, because it tells you which one you’re dealing with.

The Handy Not Connecting to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Intiface

The Handy Not Connecting to Wi-Fi

  • Use a 2.4 GHz network. The Handy can’t see 5 GHz.
  • If the light blinks red and goes back to green after you try to go online, it couldn’t join your Wi-Fi. Try again a few times, then test with a phone hotspot.
  • Restart your router, and check that your router’s security settings or ISP aren’t blocking the connection.

The Handy Not Connecting to Bluetooth

  • Make sure location services are on for the Onboarding App.
  • Reinstall the app, or try a different phone.
  • Fully power off your phone and the Handy (a restart isn’t always enough). On iOS, switching from Legacy Bluetooth back to normal Bluetooth sometimes needs this cache reset.

The Handy Not Connecting to Intiface

Put the Handy 2 in Legacy Bluetooth mode (cyan light) before scanning.

If the Handy keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi, connecting it to a phone hotspot is the most reliable workaround.

Handy 2 Pro Not Charging or Not Turning On (Charging Error)

If your Handy 2 Pro is not charging or not turning on, the charger is the most common cause. Use a USB-C Power Delivery charger that supplies at least 9V, ideally 20V 3.25A (65W). Then:

  1. Leave it charging for a couple of hours.
  2. Update the Onboarding App and the firmware.
  3. Try a factory reset in the Onboarding App.
  4. Try an MCU reset (see below).
  5. Check the battery percentage and voltage in the app’s device info screen, charge again, and see if it rises.

A faint high-pitched noise while charging is a known quirk with underpowered chargers, and Ohdoki says it isn’t dangerous. If none of this works, contact support at contact@thehandy.com with your order number.

The Handy 2 Firmware Update (and Firmware Update Errors)

To run a Handy 2 firmware update:

  1. Plug the Handy into power and put it online.
  2. Go to handyverse.com and connect with your key.
  3. Open Configure Device > Updates and follow the prompts.
  4. Let it restart on its own.

The Onboarding App also offers updates at the end of setup. If an update fails, the device automatically reverts to its previous firmware, so you can safely try again. A firmware update error is usually caused by low power or an unstable connection. The Handy 2 only runs Firmware 4, but you can roll back to an earlier Firmware 4 version through Handyverse.

The Handy 2 Factory Reset and MCU Reset

A Handy 2 factory reset is in the Onboarding App and returns all settings to default.

An MCU reset is different: it fully restarts the device’s controller when it’s stuck. Look for the small indentations between the buttons, and push a paperclip into the top-left one. It makes a tiny hole in the silicone, which Ohdoki says is expected and doesn’t void the warranty. The original Handy doesn’t have this button, so turn it off and on instead.

The Handy 2 Red Light, Yellow Light and Blue Light Meanings

LightWhat it means
GreenOffline mode, controlled by the buttons
Blinking pinkConnecting to Wi-Fi and Ohdoki’s servers
Steady pinkOnline and ready for your connection key
Blinking blueBluetooth mode, ready to pair
Steady bluePaired with the Onboarding App
Pink and blueOnline and paired over Bluetooth
Blinking or steady cyanLegacy Bluetooth mode
Red blink, then greenCouldn’t join your Wi-Fi network
Red and whiteCalibrating (stuck means it can’t calibrate)
RainbowUpdating firmware (stuck means a firmware or hardware problem)

The Handy 2 red light flashing at the end of the stroke range just means you’ve hit the minimum or maximum length. Red and white for more than a few minutes means it can’t calibrate: turn it off, move the slider to the top, and turn it on again (then try the middle and bottom). A rainbow that won’t stop can mean a firmware problem or a loose internal screw, which needs support.

A yellow light is mainly seen on the original Handy, where it means the device booted into firmware-switch mode because the Action button was held down at power on.

The Handy 2 Overheating

The display shows a warning when the motor or battery gets too hot. If the Handy 2 is overheating, stop, unplug it from the charger and let it cool. It usually happens during long, fast sessions or with overclocking turned on. Lubricating the lead screw and avoiding heavy sleeves reduce the load on the motor.

Handy 2 Pro Issues: Build Quality, Warranty and Customer Support

The biggest Handy 2 Pro issues were in early 2026. Some Kickstarter and early retail units had charging and battery faults, and Ohdoki published an apology and a replacement process in May. By August it said all units in stock had the charging fixes applied. If you buy new from the official store now, you should get a fixed unit, but check the charger and battery behavior in your first week.

Other complaints are smaller: the soft-touch silicone picks up lint, the mounting screws can strip if overtightened, and a few owners reported the strap connector sticking.

The warranty is one year and covers the motor, gears and electronics against manufacturing defects. It doesn’t cover sleeves or straps, and it’s void if you open the device or enable overclocking. Ohdoki’s support is through contact@thehandy.com and the chat in its help center, and Reddit owners generally describe it as responsive.

The Handy 2 vs Solace Pro, OSR2, Keon and Autoblow: Best Handy Alternatives

The table below sums up how the Handy 2 stacks up against the Solace Pro and the other big names. For a deeper three-way breakdown, see our Lovense Solace Pro vs Kiiroo Keon vs the Handy comparison.

Autoblow AI UltraAbout $200 to $250Full-shaft gripMains poweredA different, grip-style feel
Lovense Max 2About $119Air-pump contractionsRechargeableA cheaper interactive option

Handy 2 Pro vs Solace Pro (Lovense Solace Pro vs Handy)

The Lovense Solace Pro is the closest rival. It runs up to 300 strokes per minute, claims up to 14 hours of battery, and is often discounted well below its $399 list price. It’s the better pick if you already use Lovense toys or want very long battery life. The Handy 2 Pro has the longer stroke, wider script and site support, and a larger community, so it’s the better pick for scripted VR.

The Handy vs OSR2 and SR6

The OSR2 and SR6 are open-source, multi-axis strokers designed by TempestMAx. They don’t just move up and down: the OSR2 adds tilt and twist, and the SR6 adds side-to-side motion as well. Prebuilt units run about $150 to $300 for an OSR2 and $250 to $500 for an SR6, and you can build one yourself with a 3D printer. They’re more immersive with multi-axis scripts and handle heavy onaholes better, but they’re louder, need more setup, and don’t have the Handy’s plug-and-play site support.

Handy vs Keon: Keon 2 vs Handy 2

The Kiiroo Keon 2 has a 95 mm stroke, up to about 300 strokes per minute and around 3 hours of battery, and costs around $249 to $289. It works with Kiiroo’s FeelConnect ecosystem and fits Fleshlight sleeves. It’s a strong option, but it was on pre-order at the time of writing. Against the Keon 2, the Handy 2 has the longer stroke and is available now. Our Keon 2 vs Keon 1 review covers the Keon side.

The Handy vs Autoblow AI Ultra

The Autoblow AI Ultra is a full-shaft gripping stroker that sells for around $200 to $250, with 10 interchangeable gripper sizes, video sync and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It feels different from a sleeve-based stroker and has less third-party script support. The Handy is the more flexible choice for VR and community scripts.

The Handy vs Max 2 and Onyx (Lovense Max 2 vs Handy)

These aren’t really strokers. The Lovense Max 2 (around $119) uses air-pump contractions and vibration, and the Kiiroo Onyx+ (around $249) uses contracting rings. Both are cheaper or simpler options with interactive support, but neither replicates stroking motion like the Handy. See our Lovense Max 2 review if you’re leaning that way.

The Handy 2 Pro Review: Final Verdict and Who Should Buy It

After weeks of testing for this Handy 2 Pro review, it’s the interactive stroker I’d recommend to most VR users who can afford it. It’s strong, quieter than before, lasts a full evening on a charge, and works with almost every VR site and player that supports toys.

Buy the Handy 2 Pro if you use scripted VR content regularly, want long battery life, and prefer something that works out of the box.

Buy the Handy 2 Standard if your sessions are short and you’d rather spend the $200 difference on sleeves and a desk mount.

Buy the original Handy if you want the cheapest way in at $169 and don’t mind a cable and more noise.

Look elsewhere if you want multi-axis motion (OSR2 or SR6) or already own a Lovense setup (Solace Pro).

The Handy 2 Pro FAQ

Is the Handy 2 out yet, and when does the Handy 2 Pro ship?

Yes. The Handy 2 and Handy 2 Pro are in stock on the official store and ship right away. Regular shipping takes 4 to 7 working days and express takes 2 to 4.

Is the Handy 3 out, and is the Handy 2 Lite real?

No. Ohdoki hasn’t announced a Handy 3 or a Handy 2 Lite. The current lineup is the Handy 2 Standard, the Handy 2 Pro and the original Handy while stock lasts.

Is the Handy 2 waterproof?

No. The Handy 2 is not waterproof. Wipe it with a damp cloth and keep it away from running water. Only the sleeves go under the tap.

What is the Handy 2 Pro weight limit?

Ohdoki doesn’t publish a maximum sleeve weight. Official sleeves and light third-party sleeves work well, but heavy onaholes strain the motor and strap. For heavy sleeves, a multi-axis OSR2 or SR6 is a better fit.

Is the Handy good, according to Reddit?

Mostly yes. Owners on r/theHandy praise its power, script support and VR sync, and many say it changed how they use VR. The common complaints are early Handy 2 charging problems, weak mounting hardware and the price.

Where is the Handy Discord and Reddit community?

Ohdoki runs an official Discord with about 11,000 members, and r/theHandy on Reddit has about 15,000. Both are linked from thehandy.com and are good places to find scripts and setup help.

Can you open up the Handy 2? (Disassembly and teardown)

You shouldn’t. Opening the device voids the warranty. For noise, lubricate the lead screw without disassembly, and for a stuck device, use the MCU reset hole between the buttons.

What is The Handy Feeling (handyfeeling.com)?

Handyfeeling.com was Ohdoki’s original website for connecting and controlling the Handy. It has been replaced by handyverse.com, which works with Firmware 4.

How do I check the Handy order status?

You get a tracking number by email once your order leaves the warehouse. If you haven’t received one, contact contact@thehandy.com with your order number.

Does the Handy come with a sleeve?

Yes. Both the Handy 2 Standard and Pro come with a TrueGrip Gen 3 sleeve, a strap and a ClickOn sleeve holder.
